August 2020 Update

To community members of the College Promenade,

Over the past few weeks, construction on The Carvalo has continued to go according to plan and we’re happy to report that things are progressing well. Despite the rainy days we’ve experienced lately, bulk excavation and shoring activities proceeded as scheduled. We are maintaining progress for foundations, which will commence towards the end of the summer.

On, Friday, July 31st, Toronto officially entered Stage 3 of reopening! Dine-in restaurants, bars, fitness studios, theatres and many other businesses were finally given the green light to reopen, and the College Promenade has been able to slowly return to pre-pandemic activities as a result.

Restaurants that are now open for indoor dining include Chiado, Guilietta, Via Norte Restaurant, and Starving Artist’s College Street location. Jill and the Beanstalk, a local store that sells toys, games, supplies, and food for babies and children, resumed their infant and child CPR classes in store. Studio Vis a Vis, a facial spa on College Street, was also able to resume all of their services as of July 31st.

These reopenings are only possible because Torontonians have acted responsibly and followed public health advice. We hope the rest of the summer continues on this trajectory and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the charming College Promenade.

Best Regards,

The Clifton Blake Team
